Opening of a company for the production of organic cosmetics, active development
About the project
Grower Cosmetics — is a local brand of eco-friendly hemp-based cosmetics with production in St. Petersburg. Natural ingredients and small production volumes allow us to achieve the highest quality and maintain an eco-friendly approach throughout the entire process. The key values of the — brand are hemp oils, sustainability, and care.
The situation at the start
1.
Starting a project from scratch, no materials available
2.
No supplier or packaging manufacturer selected
3.
Technological limitations — production is planned in micro-batches
Results of the work
Effect
1.
Branding
The branding was executed in a minimalist manner, in terms of technique and number of elements: the — logo, fonts, eco- packaging materials, and image manipulation. The packaging emphasizes the tactility and beauty of the product itself, rather than artificial graphics. These principles were documented in the brand book.
The project has been rated highly by its target audience (average rating on Ozon 4.9/5)
The product stands out from its competitors due to its minimalist and “craft” design
2.
Packaging design
I decided to maximize the use of materials and composition: font + material + grid. No graphics were used. All packaging, except for the glass containers, was designed from scratch, taking into account business requirements and constraints. Boxes for oils, a gift tube, and labels for all types of products.
Packaging can be printed in small batches. At the launch of the — project, print runs of up to 50 units were planned.
As the project developed, the packaging was able to be scaled up to accommodate new production and increased print runs at minimal cost.
3.
Website
Express-Webflow layout allowed us to design and launch the website within a week. We created the main page, collaboration section, and contact information. We also set up contact forms.
I assumed that there would be more traffic from mobile devices — the emphasis was on ease of readability in the mobile version.
The site regularly receives requests for cooperation from large chains (Golden Apple, L'Etoile), small stores and bloggers.
Without investments in website development and advertising, it generates stable traffic.
Webflow layout allows you to quickly make adjustments to the design and structure of the site, saving money on development
The client can change the content independently
4.
Online-shop
I used Ecwid to set up the store and integrated it with the main website. I also set up the admin panel in Ecwid and helped the client register online checkouts, delivery services, and other related services. The online store's design was customized manually in the code.
The quick launch of a functioning store allowed us to quickly reach our target audience and start sales.
The project was completed on a turnkey basis for the client, and there was no need to involve additional development or marketing specialists.
Integrating the store into the website will create the impression of a common ecosystem and enhance brand perception.
5.
Working with manufacturers
I've assembled a team of manufacturers for all types of packaging branding: labels, paper, screen printing, and digital printing.
Easy scaling and business development
Streamlined processes and time savings on communication and layout approval
Stability and predictability of results
6.
Brand promotion and PR
I put together a packaging presentation and submitted it to the most promising design competitions. The project was recognized at Red Dot, ADCR, ADCE, and Sreda. I also wrote several publications about the project and its design on industry websites.
Information about the project was published in the Red Dot catalog and in the Chinese packaging design publication “Wrap It Up”.
Mention of the project in lectures on Design Prosmotr and VK Prostor
Increasing brand reach
Increased target audience loyalty through award-winning design and brand quality

Grower Cosmetics website. Minimalistic and responsive, built on Webflow in one week. The goal of — was to create an online presence, generate passive traffic and sales, and familiarize potential clients and partners with the project details.

A brand book and B2B presentation for Grower Cosmetics at the project launch. It describes key constraints, the branding system, and image management. It also outlines a conceptual design for social media. It also includes a catalog section and company offerings.
